Uploading Documents via API into Scan queue

I have a new project that I am working related to uploaded documents via API.  

Is anyone uploading documents in that then go into a scan queue for Automated Indexing? 

Also, if there are multiple documents uploaded by a single entity can/will all the documents be added into a single batch?

From an API Standpoint, I would think the only way to potentially do this would be to import the Documents as Unindexed Documents, they would then be added to a Scan Queue that has been created and you can do what you need to from there, but if the Documents are indexed as the API is importing them they would not go into any type of Scan Queue.
