Every member has a responsibility to ensure Hyland Connect remains a welcoming, helpful, and collaborative space where everyone is comfortable asking and answering questions. To maintain this type of atmosphere, we expect all members to honor the following guidelines.
1. Show respect to all members. We’re a diverse group of people with a single common thread – our passion for Hyland products and solutions. Most replies are contributed by members, not Hyland employees, and we encourage this to help our community thrive. Insults, name calling, and negative comments directed towards another member hinder collaboration and are not tolerated. We recommend avoiding stylized type that could imply a negative tone, such as all capital letters and emphasized words.
2. Help promote and inspire peer collaboration. Staying on-topic and contributing new, helpful information keeps the dialogue fresh and valuable to our members. Indicating which replies are most helpful and up-voting posts are great ways to interact with both content and contributing members.
3. Welcome everyone. Lead with the kindness and respect that every person deserves. Remember, there’s a real human being behind every profile. To maintain this collaborative environment, every member – regardless of skill, role, experience, or expertise – should feel comfortable contributing to any conversation. Reply with useful, positive comments, and we encourage you to take the high road and step away if the dialogue is no longer constructive.
4. Help others help you. Make sure your posts are written clearly with a concise yet descriptive title. Include details about your product line, modules, software version, and the issue you’re addressing. Do your best to create your post in the most relevant community group, and thoughtfully add additional tags when your content is relevant to multiple groups. Finally, indicate which replies are most helpful and confirm once your question has been answered and solved.
