Removing Leading 00 from alphanumeric keyword.

We have document type setup with delivery# containing leading 00 (ie. 005441234, 005442345).  The documents and keywords have been loaded to OnBase awhile back, but now we need to have the leading 00 removed for a separate project.

We are currently running on OnBase 10 (soon to upgrade to 15), and have tried to setup a workflow to convert the keywords.  The workflow cross reference the delivery# with our COLD data from SAP.  This process failed as some of the documents contains multiple delivery#, and we were unable to establish related document.

Any one has any idea on how to work around this?

Thanks,

Kai

The fact that you didn't keep your primary\foreign key keyword pristine is your first problem. Toward that end, you need to get a firm grip on your data before you start designing a solution. Therefore, how many of these multiples exist and is the same delimiter used for every record with multiples. Also, how many records are we talking about in total and how many are multiples?

Hi Kai,

The Keyword Updater module may help you with removing the leading zeros from your existing keyword values. Please reach out to your first line of support for more information on Keyword Updater and information on how to obtain it.

Hope that helps.

Ansley

Thanks Ansley, I will contact our support on the keyword updater module.

The document type was originally setup with a combination of barcode reading / auto-index using SAP data. We asked users to help index documents where the barcode is not available. Unfortunately the users scan and indexed it with leading 00. That's where the problem comes in..

We currently have 35000+ documents in this doc type with leading 00, now sure how many with multiple keywords.
