Hi - we have several batches in the Incomplete Process DIP Queue as far back as 2009. What is the best way to clear this out without them running through workflow? The MRG suggests a purge, but will that delete the legitimate documents we have stored?

You are right! It is considered a best practice to purge batches residing in the Incomplete Process and Incomplete Commit queues and re-process these batches to prevent batches containing errors from residing in your OnBase solution.
But it will delete the documents in the batch, DIP Manual mentions:
"The purge option removes the data files from the DiskGroup and all database entries for the documents in the batch. This process will permanently delete the data and database entries".

Saludos.
