Does anyone know if the web client support Spanish language? If so can users switch between English to Spanish and vice versa?

OnBase provides localization support for many locations (including Spanish). I have a demo system on my US laptop that was built for US English. For example, after changing the regional settings on my PC to:

Login:

Document Knowledge Transfer Alert:

Document Retrieval:

The Document types (any many other configuration items) can be translated such that users from multiple languages can use the system at the same time. The tool for this is located in OnBase Configuration > Utils > Database Translations

For an outline of requirements and best practices for setting up the OnBase Web Client in an international environment, see the following section in the Web Server MRG: INTERNATIONALIZATION AND LOCALIZATION BEST PRACTICES

Hi George_d,

In addition to Eric’s post, which sums it up nicely, you also have the ability to set up a quick “on-the-fly" language change for your Web Client users. By setting the “OverrideUILanguage” parameter to “true” in the appnet.web.config file, your users will be able to choose from a variety of language including Spanish. This only affects the basic Client UI language and not the locale itself. Dates and other locale specific formats will be effected by this and it only serves as a quick language change. The Web Server MRG has some more details about it.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Rico
