Thick client crashes while saving report file.

I have seen this twice at 2 different client site: same OB client behavior:

The following are the steps are being taken before the OB Client crashes:

custom query

date range (it can be one month or 6 month or any date range)

doct type ( can be one doc type or 200 doc types)

when the hit list display,

right click, generate report:

At this time, on the local C drive, a file 'Listcon.txt' gets created only during the generation of the report, then the file gets deleted by the process

after the 'listcon.txt' gets deleted, file 'tmplst~.idx' gets created.

after the report gets created:

File, Save as:

Text file,

at this point the client crashes.

if we delete tmplst~.idx file, then the final txt file gets saved just fine.

Thanks

Whenever I've had issues with the temporary parsing files (the file that gets created and deleted, and the record .idx left behind), or saving to the local drive, it's always been an issue with premissions of the user that is running the client.

Thanks Joe for your replay,

When I delete the index file of the temp folder, I'm using the same login ID and password when the client crashes, outside OnBase, I'm able to delete the file, but looks like OnBase client is unable to execute the deletion command? I'm not sure why it would crash while I'm able to delete that file.

Thank you for your help!

Is UAC enabled? If so disable it to test again. Or right click on the client exe and do a 'Run as Administrator', and test again. Let us know, please.
