Email failure

I have users that use to have corporate email accounts. They have since been disabled and now use other company email accounts. They have been setup in Onbase config, but when emails are being sent they are coming back with email errors. They are still trying to be sent to the disabled corporate accounts eventhough the new email accounts have been changed in their profile. Where are the old corporate accounts being cached?

Gabe,

Is it possible that the old email addresses are being referenced as a keyword value on a document, or a value from within an Autofill Keyword set?  Have you already restarted the Hyland Distribution Service?  Double check the notification configuration, on the "Recipients" menu to make sure that the notification is configured to send to the User and not another value.  Let us know what you find out!

Thanks,

I got the same issue. It seems whenever you restart the Distribution Service manually, it somehow retrieves the old cache emails and send them at once.

What process is creating the notifications? Check to see how the recipients are configured and make sure they are up to date with any configuration changes. The distribution service itself is responsible for sending queued emails from within OnBase and only reads data set by other parts of the system. You may find an older timer service that has not refreshed its configuration objects is running or the process is using static recipient email addresses rather than the OnBase user's configured email address. It may take a little investigation since emails can be generated through a variety of different modules within a solution, but it most likely involves one of the two scenarios outlined above.
