We have a Conditions of Admission Document here at John Muir Health that is two pages long (front and back). It has a Document Type barcode on it as well as a Patient Label Barcode on it. The Document Type barcode is only on the front of the document, whereas the Patient Label barcode is placed on the front and the back of the document. We are running into an issue with Doc Imaging and Barcode Processing not being able to append that second page automatically to the first. The process continues to split this document page by page even though we have it set in Configuration to start a new document based on the Barcode Process seeing the next new Doc Type barcode of the next COA. I was told the only way to do this type of scanning is to have a custom script. Is this really the case?
