Disk Group Design Proposal using DFS and FRS

If we use DFS and FRS to handle the location and redundancy of the disk groups using Copy1, is it still necessary to create  copy 2 to send the committed data to, or can we just do an in-place commit on Copy1? What would be the limitation of having just one copy when using DFS and FRS?

Having multiple disk group copies not only increases availability, but also allows you the option of comparing volumes between copies. This can be done using disk group analysis from the platter management menu of the client. Not only does this help to ensure file integrity but it can also assist in disaster recovery by repairing or recreating the other copy.
