Could Foxit be made to open PDF documents instead of Acrobat ?

Could the file association on the PC with *.PDF be made to open exclusively with a program other than Adobe Acrobat, or FoxIT for example.

Would this work for all client types if the file format default association was changed?

I am very new to OnBase and might be wrong. I think file associations are defined on the computer the file is being browsed. It might be controlled and set through group policy by your infrastructure network administrators.

That is my assumption as well but, we have recently had an issue when all of a sudden after usage for months, that the Foxit pdf starts opening outside without changing any settings.  Has anyone else had this?  this is specific to an individual user not all inclusive since we have some individuals still using Adobe as their default.

Yes it can.

Setup a Custom File Format and then point it to the application that should be used to open the new file format.

Check the System Admin MRG and look for "Custom File Format"
