Is it possible to configure different two different Thick Clients to use two different Applications Servers.

Our solution for a customer is using a 3rd party conversion tool triggered by a Unity script via workflow.  When this process is running the Application server is very busy and Client Access workflow (core based) often timeout.  I would like to install a separate application server on a dedicated server for the conversion process.

Yes, you can use the following command line switches on the client(s) that you want to override from the database-configured application server:

-APPSRV_URL="<url to alternate app server>"

-APPSRV_DSN="<name of DSN for alternate app server>"

Why isn't this in the "CommandLineSwitches1200.pdf" MRG?

Thanks,
Seth

Hi, Seth.

Thank you for bringing this inconsistency to our attention. We will make sure these switches get added to the Command Line Switches documentation. In the meantime, please see the Application Server MRG for OnBase 12. You can find information about these switches beginning on page 4 of the Application Server MRG.

Thank you,
Carly

Hi, Seth.

This is just an update. The OnBase 12 Comand Line Switches MRG now includes the APPSRV switches. (See page 9.) Thank you again for bringing this omission to our attention.
