Ability to sort for documents that are close to/have met expiration

User would like to store customer contract documents in OnBase with Expiration Date as a Keyword Type. 

1. Is it possible to sort on a keyword (in search results) to find contracts that have expired or near expiration?
2. is it possible to set reminders based on a keyword such that user can take actions regarding contracts due renewals? 

Any other thoughts/suggestions to allow user manage contract expiration are also appreciated.

For item one, in the Unity client you could create a custom query (not sure how custom queries work in Thick/Web clients) and choose which keywords to display then in the resulting hit list users can sort by any keyword.

For item two, I keep coming back to workflow but do not know if you are licensed for this product.
