Scan from disk not available from Client

Do you know why my scanner person would not have the 'scan from disk' available to him?  It is not a desktop setting because I can get to it from userid manager and my own userid (administrator) on his machine.  I cannot figure out what privilage/security setting it is that I need  

Any help would be appreciated.

Your scanner person would have to have the appropriate Kofax VRS software installed on his/her workstation in order to scan from disk.

edit - I see you can do this as admin on that workstation - please disregard the above

The software is installed.  Using other ids on the same machine works fine.

Hello Polly,

 

Go to User Group & Rights > Product Rights and make sure the user has the Scan Registered Product checked.

 

Scan Enables Document Imaging functionality. Required in order to see the Scan, Scan from Disk, and Sweep Directory options in the Scan Queue.

Thanks!  Also did not have view privilages for one of the doc types in the scan queue.  All is well now.
