Would anyone have some basic instructions for setting up a Topaz Digital Signature Pad to be used with FOS and Thick Client?

We have a Topaz Digital Signature Pad (T-S460-HSB-R) that we would like to get configured with OnBase.  We also have a temp Digital Signature Interface license installed in Onbase.  The FOS MRG hasn't been too helpful in getting started though.  It looks like we should be able to use this with FOS...and hopefully on the Thick Client.    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Ma,

Have you checked the module reference guide (MRG) for Signature Pad Interface (TWAIN)?  I think that would definitely have more of the information you're looking for.  Of course if you have any other questions after reviewing that documentation, feel free to ask them here.  Thank you for using Community!

OK, so I'm making the assumption that you are licensed for the "Signature Pad Interface (TWAIN)" product and not for "Digital Signatures," since that's the one that's required for use with your Topaz pad.

Setting up the signature pad is pretty easy. Once you install the software that came with it (drivers, really, since this is just a TWAIN source), it becomes available for signing documents in OnBase. You may need to modify the toolbar settings to add the Signature Pad button in the Thick Client, and you'll need to configure the signature locations (Client > Admin > Signature Administration > Configure Signature Locations) for your image documents.

In the Signature Pad MRG (https://www.hyland.com/community/onbase_product_communities/m/ob13mrg/13159.aspx), you'll find instructions on how to set the pen width, etc. in the INI file, configure signature locations, and so forth.

If you'll be signing e-forms, there is a special syntax that needs to be followed to insert placeholders for the signature pad (see the e-forms MRG - https://www.hyland.com/community/onbase_product_communities/m/ob13mrg/13141.aspx).
