Looking for a way to sign documents inside of DKT. There is a Require Digital Signature check box in the Reading Group Configuration.

Can this feature be use on PDF or Word Documents?

Hi @Julie,

Here is some information from our DKT Team:

It should be possible to sign an open PDF/OLE file in DKT using a Digital Signature, but this functionality is only available in the OnBase Client.

The Digital Signatures MRG states the following:

“You cannot sign an open OLE or PDF document using this method. To sign an open PDF document, click the Document Options icon (located in the upper-left corner of the document viewer) and select Digital Signatures | Sign Document, or use one of the methods below.”

To clarify this, the ‘you cannot sign’ portion applies to the right-click menu functionality.  DKT respectively is using the OnBase Client Menu (upper left part of doc viewer) functionality to sign the documents, allowing it to sign an open PDF/OLE.

I hope this helps!
