Users are not receiving notifications and email are not being sent

Receiving this error in Timer/Distribution Service's tab:

Building the message to send out

Adding the recipients to the message

Adding the attachments to the message

Unhandled exception encountered 'Error code: (-3). File format bad, or unreadable.'
Failed to send the request to recipient 'JACK.STROUD@PEORIAAZ.GOV' and it will not be retried. Error code is 'LocalErrorInProcessing' and error message is 'Error in processing.'.
Releasing the session
An error occurred while checking for new requests for datasource 'OnBase_PROD'. Error: 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'.
All queued messages have been attempted but there is a problem communicating with the SMTP server. The polling interval will be incremented.

Any help is appreciated.

Try this:  Connnect to your DB Server, navigate to the Onbase database and then to the hsi.distributionqueue table.  Note the ID for the failed message in the Diagnostic Console, find it in the table and delete.

(Delete from hsi.distributionqueue where distrequestnum = "enter ID number"   )

 

 

Restart the Hyland Distribution service and all blocked notifications should get sent.

Hi Nicki,

 

Please reach out to your first line of support for assistance. It sounds like there is an email that is "stuck" and potentially causing other issues. Support will be able to assist with running any proper scripts for clearing database tables, if needed or determine if there is another root cause.
