User receives OLE error message

When attempting to open a *.pdf document through DKT in OnBase 12, a user is receiving this error message:  

 "All attempts to create an integrated viewer window for the requested document have failed.  This will only occur if the file type has no registered OLE server available that supports in place activation.  In addition, the file extension (*.pdf) does not have an external application configured to display this file type.  No viewer can be created for this file type, at this time."  

   User has Adobe Reader XI and Adobe Acrobat installed on their PC.  User is running Windows 7.  They have successfully viewed other (*.pdf) DKT documents within OnBase before.  How can this be fixed?

Hello Nathan,
Can you verify a few things:
1) What is the File Format # when looking at the document properties?
2) What is the file extension of the document when looking at the document properties?
3) Can this be viewed outside DKT? Can other users view this?

1. File Format number is 16
2. The file extension is .pdf
3. Yes other users can view it outside DKT or inside DKT. We just have 1 single user with the problem.

Would it be possible to uninstall Acrobat and just leave reader on the machine?

I will try that, the user is not in today, so I will comment again when I've had a chance to try it. Thank you.
