Storing/Using Hyperlinks in a Keyword

Hello,

New to OB. But learning fast..

Has anyone ever figured out a way to store a hyperlink into a keyword, then allow users to use that link.

We have web-based systems that will store their keys on some documents, I would love to find a way for users to launch those external websites while looking at the documents.

E.G. Keyword with value of "https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&q=OnBase" would be just like it is here and allow users to click it to launch the URL.

Thanks and sorry if this is a simple thing I am just missing in settings.

Daniel,

Are looking at wanting to enable "hot spots" on your documents similar to Cross Reference but with URLs?

If it's a keyword value you want to store as a URL, your users would have to retrieve the document then choose view the keywords.

Although I like the idea/question you posted, not positive this is possible. If it is, then cool I would use it.

Unfortunately there is currently no way to create a clickable hyperlink in a keyword or Unity Form field but there are SCRs for it.

I personally have an SCR #315595 for the Keyword fields on a Unity Form:

Ability to create hyperlinks to systems that can’t be embedded in OnBase eg payment systems which require a once off generated link based on the details the user has input. Static is something like example.com.au but user needs to go to example.com.au/< Keyword 1>/<Further Static Value>/<Keyword 2> and instead of copying that link into a browser manually we believe OnBase should see the string http: or https: to change the value into a clickable link or if Mailto:example@example.com open the users default mail program
