Security Keywords

Hello. I am trying to configure user groups security keywords. What I am looking to do is restrict user groups from seeing a certain Loan Section. So what i did was LN - Loan Sections not equal to Accounting. This will restrict that user group from accessing any documents in the Accounting Section. But it is also restricting them from documents that have a blank Section. How would I restrict them from a Loan Section but also have them access blank Loan Sections? Any help/ideas would really be appreciated! Thank you.

When a keyword is left blank there is actually no "blank value" stored in the OnBase database, so there is no keyword value for us to perform the comparison on, which is why it restricts users configured with specific security keywords.

One way to work around this is to add some value for your empty keywords - for example a value of BLANK or NONE, and then configure your security keyword settings for the user group to include that value.
