Protecting Credit Card Data

I am curious about how anyone, not just banks, protects their access and storage of reports and images with credit card data on them.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the post.

If you are referring to the images themselves, then Encrypted Disk Groups (link) is what you are looking for.  This module will allow you to encrypt all files within a Disk Group so they are only accessible via one of the OnBase Clients (OnBase Thick Client, Unity Client, Web Client, etc).

If you are storing any of the metadata then you can use Encrypted Keywords (link) which could be used to encrypt the values in the database.  This way if the database was to become compromised, the values could not be decrypted unless viewed from within one of the OnBase Clients.
