OnBase integration with Google Services - stopped working

We had setup OnBase Integration with Google Services (using GOOGLE APIs). This is an OnBase functionality (not a custom implementation).

This had been working well for past 3 years. But starting this Monday(10/28/2019), users were unable to email documents from within Unity Client.

Has anyone else (OnBase integration with google services) encountered this issue, this week?

We are working with our first line of support on this issue. Just wanted to throw it out here to see - if others are impacted as well.

We are experiencing  the exact same issue with our Google API. Had been working flawlessly the last 2 years. Noticed issue starting 10/25/2019. Have not found a resolution yet.

What we had identified so far is this:

When we configure "Google Services" Integration, we had to enable "Google+" and "Google Drive" APIs on the project.

Looks like Google had deprecated "Google+" API and replaced it with Google Login and People APIs earlier this year. Google had sent an email about this change to all "Google+" API users.

We are working with Hyland support on this and will update this post on the findings.

Hi @Balaji Parth,

I searched through your Hyland Support Cases and found this resolution:

Dev has found that this issue did occur due to the deprecation of the Google+ API functionality earlier this year. The code has been changed in more recent builds of OnBase starting with OnBase 18 SP1. Unfortunately due to the API change this functionality will not be available any longer for previous builds of OnBase. In order to get the send to gmail functionality back OnBase would need to be upgraded to 18.0.1.51.

I posted this here to benefit other community members.

Thanks!

~Alan
