Need Help Adding Row Number to Unity Form with Repeater Section containing multi instance keyword group

I've seen good helpful hints for auto numbering in a repeater section on a unity form - but that only works if users manually add rows.  I have a DIP import that brings in all fields.  It then creates unity form which is a read only form.  I cannot get it to correctly add the row number.  I do not need a count or sum - just a row number added for each line.  I even added a keyword called row in the multi instance keyword group.  Any ideas?  I can add it in workflow if it can't be done on the form too?

I am having the same experience, and all other threads seem to be when using a live form, not a "dipped" form.
