Multi-instance keywords

Hi

Can someone point me to documentation on setting up Multi-instance keywords.  I included the keywords in a KW type group and make the KWTG a multi-instance KWTG.  But I am told there is more to setting up MIKW than that.  Can someone clarify?

Thanks

Edwin

Hey Edwin,

I don't believe (to my knowledge) that there is anything else involved once the migration has taken place within OnBase Configuration. You can find additional information however in the System Admin Guide (link).

Hope this helps!

Hi Edwin,

Justin is right. In terms of configuration, the only difference between a standard Keyword Type Group and a Multi-Instance Keyword Type Group is selecting the Multi-Instance Keyword Type Group option from the Keyword Type Group Settings dialog box. Once this option is selected and your Keyword Type Group configuration is saved, it cannot be deselected. If you are unfamiliar with how Multi-Instance Keyword Type Groups work, I would also encourage you to review the appropriate client MRG (linked below) for examples on how Multi-Instance Keyword Type Groups behave in terms of searching and indexing. I’ve listed the page number where the Multi-Instance Keyword Type Group definition is documented in each MRG. To locate other results, simply do a search (Ctrl + F) in the appropriate MRG for "multi-instance keyword type group".

OnBase Client MRG (pg. 12)
Web Client MRG (pg. 11)
Unity Client MRG (pg. 😎
Desktop MRG (pg. 😎

I hope this helps. Thanks!
