LDAP, OBOL, and multiple customers on a shared OnBase instance

We are a higher ed institution sharing an installation of OnBase (v.12 as of next week)  with several other institutions in our state. Our installation is OBOL hosted. All of our campuses have their own LDAP servers and I'd like to know if it is possible to authenticate against more than one LDAP server. We have one OnBase installation and 4 LDAP servers.

Hi Kat,

Thanks for the question.

Yes, technically it should work, but you would have to get with your first line of support to discuss how this would work.  I have not worked with LDAP and OBOL before.  The idea is that the Application Server hosted by OBOL would need to have access to all 4 of the LDAP servers.  This can get a bit tricky due to the nature of the environment, but they may have worked through this scenario before.

As well, only Interactive Login would be supported.  Autologin (meaning the user does not have to enter their credentials) would not work.

Take care.
