Hi,
A keyword was increased in limit (doubled) during the day. Configuration froze and now we are unable to retrieve documents with that keyword as the system freezes. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated...

The suggestions in this thread are most likely exactly what happened. Depending on the size of the keyword table (and the associated folderkey table), the process of increasing a keyword type's length can be a fairly long running process. Most likely, Configuration didn't freeze - it was just busy waiting for the database to complete the change.
Your first line of support can assist with verifying that this is what occurred. (If it did, you are now missing indexes on the keyword and associated folderkey tables.) They can also assist with getting your keyword back to normal configuration and figuring out the optimal way to increase the length if the table is larger.
