Does OnBase support SQL Always On?

I have a customer who is interested in implementing Always On as a high availability solution for their OnBase database, which will be version 14 by the beginning of next year. Is this feature supported when used with an OnBase database?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the post.

AlwaysOn Availability Groups are supported in OnBase 14 and higher for HA / DR.

Take care.

Great, thanks for the response.

Are there any configurations of Always On that we have to watch out for.  I know the OnBase database doesn't support Active/Active clustering for example.  Since Always On appears to be a sort of clustering technology, I would like to let the customer know of any limitations.

Hi Michael,

My pleasure.  To my knowledge, there is no configuration within OnBase needed outside of the SQL configuration to take advantage of the Always On functionality.

Here is a Blog post which describes the clustering technology you refer to as Active / Active (link).

Take care.
