When looking at the Third party compatibility list and the Technical Overview for new installation and Upgrades on the Documentation portal there are discrepancies on the supported databases and Operating Systems.
In the overview
it states for 23.1
The following versions of Microsoft SQL Server™ are supported:
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (all service packs)
Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (all service packs)
Microsoft SQL Server 2017
Microsoft SQL Server 2019
Microsoft SQL Server 2022
However the third party compatibility list states
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 SP3 | Compatible | Databases | 14 | Foundation 22.1 |
Microsoft SQL Server 2016 | Compatible | Databases | 16.0.2.72 | Foundation 22.1 |
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 on Linux | Compatible | Databases | 18 | Foundation 22.1 |
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 on Windows | Compatible | Databases | 17 SP1 | Foundation 23.1 |
Microsoft SQL Server 2019 | Compatible | Databases | Foundation EP3 | Foundation 23.1 |
Microsoft SQL Server 2022 | Compatible | Databases | Foundation 23.1 |
The Operating Systems specs have similar discrepancies. We have been using the Third party as the guideline for recommendations to our customers who need to upgrade versions but if the documentation portal is correct it would save many of our customers from getting new hardware just to upgrade OnBase.
Please provide feedback on what we should be using for our recommendations.
