“Cannot insert explicit value for identity column in table 'transactionxlog' when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF.”

Error seen in the diagnostic console.

Should we be concerned or work to get a DBA to to enable "IDENTITY_INSERT"?

Hello Jay,

I'd recommend reaching out to your First Line of Support for further investigation on the error you're seeing.  The hsi.transactionxlog.transactionnum column was modified to be created as an identity column beginning with OnBase 5.0 (possibly earlier).  If the system you're working with does not have this column configured with identity support, Hyland's Database Support team can assist in making that change.  Systems created prior to this change would not have the column modified upon upgrade.

Thanks,
