Can you allow manual entry of AFKS without causing issues elsewhere in the system?

Can you uncheck the 'read-only' setting in AutoFill keyword config to allow manual entry without causing issues elsewhere in the system?

The AFKS is not being updated by a scheduled process.  It is only used to select the provider to send Epic in basket message during index process.  thanks

Thanks for using the OnBase Community Cheryl!

That is a difficult question to answer without knowing about your environment or processes.  The Read-Only AutoFill Keyword Set option is intended to ensure accurate indexing while expanding AutoFill Keyword Sets.

For example, if one of the secondary values in an AutoFill Keyword set is used to compare related Documents, but that Keyword type is changed this could cause an issue elsewhere.  Another area that could be adversely affected is Folders.  If a secondary value is used to AutoFolder or used as a Dynamic Keyword type, changing this could throw off your Folder structure.

Once a Primary value is used that contains a set of Secondary values those values will become Read-Only.  If you use a Primary value that isn't part of an AutoFill Keyword set you should be able to manually index a Document Type.

My suggestion would be to speak with your OnBase Administrator or First Line of Support to determine if removing this setting will have adverse effects elsewhere.
