Can't open file introduced by DIP

Hi everyone,

I'm DIPing files with only one Doc Type, that Doc Type is linked to a Unity Form and identified in the Config as Unity Form Doc Type; when the files are DIped, I can't open them and get an error message in both the Unity and Web Clients. In the Thick Client, under the DIP the error is clearer, it says "This document belongs to the Unity Forms File Format and cannot be displayed"

I changed the Doc Type to a PDF in the config, I deleted the Unity Form, I completely rebuilt the DIP process and the result is still the same!

2 Questions:

1: Why is it introducing it as a Unity Form when the document is PDF or TIFF?

2: Why are my changes not solving the issue now that the Doc Type has no link to a Unity Form!

Can anyone help?!

Team,

I'm writing this post with a a smile on my face due to your help . . .

  • I went back to the Unity Form and re-published it
  • Went back to the Doc Type and set it back to Unity Form in the Doc Type "Settings", "Default File Format"
  • Re introduced the line Eric suggested (>>File Type: 16) in the DIP and the tagged index file

And now it is working perfectly

Huge thank you to everyone who responded!

hello!  I recently came across a similar issue - for your doc type (in config), you may want to check both Settings (default file format) and File Types (Unity Form may be selected there).  Although the default file format Setting was correct, there was a prior restriction on the File Type which was overriding it.

Thanks Megan,

I'm not sure where the File Type is, are you still referring to the Config?
