Hi Praveen,

To create a custom Auto-Name string for a Document Type, you want to go to Configuration | Document | Document Types | <Select Document Type> | Auto-Name.

As an example, suppose the following:

  1. There is an Invoice document in OnBase with a value for Description of Test Invoice that was imported today.
  2. The Auto-Name string for the Document Type of this invoice, AP - Invoices, is %N - %D2 - Description: %K00001.1.

When you retrieve that document in OnBase, the Auto-Name string you see will be AP - Invoices - 8/2/2017 - Description: Test Invoice.

There is more documentation available for this in the System Administration MRG.
