Auto-name with the original file name?

Is there way to import a document and have it auto-name with the original file name of the document you are importing? For example: I am importing a document named "1st Quarter Sales 2018.docx". I want that file to be auto-named in OnBase with that same name. We are using OnBase 17.

Hi Heath,

You can set the Processing File Name Keyword option for the Keyword Type you would like to populate with the file name. You can read more about this in the System Administration MRG.

Good luck!

Thanks so much!

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your Answer. This is exactly what I was looking for as well.

However I see that file name is populated after document is indexed, hence onbase does not consider fileName for versioning.

Is there any way to populate FileName before indexing so that the value of fileName keyword can be considered by onbase for versioning of document.

Using OnBase 16

Thanks
