Arithmetic overflow error when trying to run Autofill file

Has anyone ever seen this error? 

SQL Error: Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type int.

SQL: [update hsi.maxnumkeys set maxnum=maxnum + ? where keykeytype = ?]

They are running 9.2.1.615 SP1 and SQL 2005

Thanks for the speedy reply.  I think I will take your advise but wondered if anyone has seen this before.  I've never ran into it.  I tried to duplicate on my test system with THEIR index file and can't.
