Api Server Temp File Service - Storage Options

In the API Server EP3 MRG for installing the temp file service there is a step for configuring the storage system.

The instructions are pretty short, "run command, then a couple sub commands then follow prompts",  basically.

I am curious about the prompts.

Set as the active Short-term storage system (true/false):
Set as the active Mid-term storage system (true/false):
Set as the active Cache storage system (true/false): 

Is there any information on this and what is the impact of setting these to true or false?

Hi Casey.

As of OnBase Foundation EP4, there are no consumers of Mid-term Storage or Cache Storage.  Short-term Storage is used by the Hyland Document Management REST API in order to allow uploading of files.  The same is true for other modern apps such as the Quick Access Viewer and the Combined Viewer.
