I am deploying a custom web application that acts as a front-end to upload document into OnBase 12 (12.0.0.540). The web application is working fine, however when I "Submit" the documents and data to OnBase App Server I am getting an error:
"The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized"
When I use the AppServer URL to connect in IE, it prompts me for a username and password. I think this is the problem, I need to authenticate to the OnBase AppServer. How can I provide a username and password to the connection to the AppServer so I do not get this error? Or what is the best method for connecting to the AppServer given this condition? Do I supply credentials in code? Or do I change the IIS configuration on the AppServer to allow me to authenticate? I would prefer to authenticate in the code behind of the web application.
Thank you!

Generally speaking, you usually want your appserver to use anonymous authentication in IIS. Disable ALL other authentication types (including Windows authentication).
