PDF documents unreadable after OCR

We are currently sending most of our documents through the OCR, but I'm having troubles with some PDFs that rely more heavliy on graphics and tables being unreadable after the OCR process. The text is converted to symbols like wingdings. Not sure why the OCR engine is having trouble.

For example, in a document that can be over 200 pages, one page with be the USPS address verification. That will be the only page in the whole document to be unreadable after OCR.

Hello. I would like to know how was your experience with intelligent capture and OCR

Sorry for not responding sooner. I just barely saw your comment. I don't have Intelligent Capture. We only use Batch OCR. I'm not sure if that's helpful or not, but for the most part it's great, although it certainly has some downfalls, such as mangling some PDFs or not accurately reading poorly imaged documents.
