Hey OnBase,
This is an oddball: So we sweep in a bunch of documents, and give them a default doc type of "GEN Auto-Index". All the docs run through our advance capture templates, and get sorted. Anything unsorted remains "GEN Auto-Index".
Everything was great...
Until one day:
We decided to move that job to another workstation. Now, as a batch goes through advanced capture, processing stops on the first instance of a document that stays "GEN Auto-Index".
We get this popup that says "OCR engine: character recognition failed on 'GEN Auto-Index - 5/16/2016' [Failed to determine matching form template definition]
The crux of it, though, is that there will never be a form template defined for "GEN Auto-Index" because it's our slipped-through-the-cracks doctype. Any thoughts on how to rectify this?
Thanks so much,

Hello Peter,
Do any of the documents get positively identified? If not, ensure that you have the correct version of the OCR engine installed on the new processing workstation. If the correct OCR version is installed, take a look at the verification report to see if there are any other clues as to what is happening and post additional information if necessary.
Thank you,
