Document separation using Bar codes 3 of 9 in OnBase 12

Hi

I am trying to separate documents in OnBase 12 with bar codes.  I have setup the Scanner and permissions and am able to scan into OnBase just fine.  The documents get to the "Awaiting Bar code processing" scan queue and from there I am able to get them to the "Awaiting Index" queue but that is where OnBase does not recognize or separate the documents based on the bar codes.  I know OnBase is recognizing the bar codes because I see it in the bottom left window. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi Edwin.  Are you trying to read the bar codes during scanning, or afterward using the Bar Code Recognition Server queue?  It sounds like you have it set up for recognition afterwards... using the Scan Queue option for Separate Bar Code Processing Queue.  If that is the case, then the Client should be running with a switch to perform the bar code recognition..(-SCANAUTOBARCODE).  If you want to read and apply the bar codes at scan time, then that Scan Queue option should not be selected.
