Automatically Open Scanner Properties Window When You Click Scan Button.

Hello All,

I have one user and when they click on the scan button in Disconnected Scanning it automatically open the scanner properties window. We want to do this for all users but I can't find the setting for this.

Any help is appreciated. Please screen shot for the windows we want to open automatically.

Hi Keith,

For TWAIN scanning, Disconnected Scanning will show the driver settings dialog by default when a scan operation is started, unless the command line for Disconnected Scanning has -NOTWAINUI specified.  Perhaps the users that aren't seeing the settings dialog have this command line switch specified in their shortcuts?  If so, you can remove it and the dialog should then appear.  This does not apply if you are using ISIS scanning, though - ISIS will not show the scanner settings dialog when a scan is started due to the way ISIS works.

It is set to TWAIN and still are not receiving the properties window. Any other ideas?

Is the user who it is working for using a different type of scanner/TWAIN driver than the others? It might be a function of the driver itself having its own internal setting to control whether or not it displays the dialog box when it scans...

Thank you for continuing to respond. No, They are all using the same scanner type and driver just 3 different scanners connected to three different PC's.
