How does Onbase pull credentials for EPIC CARE link users?

Hi Traci, 

Epic passes us the User ID that we use in the launch. We will take that ID and add it to ALL EPIC USERS. The type of ID Epic sends to OnBase is configurable in Epic.

thanks.  EPIC is sending the system log in value.  But what we are seeing is that in some cases we are getting the email address used to log into EPIC Care link results in a failed log in and in other cases we are getting the EMP.1 which results in a successful log in.

They have compared the user profiles for ones that are working and ones that are not working and we are not seeing anything different.

The users that are having issues were working correctly prior to us upgrading to EPIC NOV2023.

Hi Traci, 

The situation you are describing seems like something is working incorrectly on the Epic end, having them pass us an email instead of the User ID. I would reach out to your first line of support to have them dig into this problem more with you.
