Can you have a Word document or a pdf as the primary document with secondary documents consisting of tiff images, eform(html), and other disparate doc type mediums.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for posting your question.

PDF documents can be used as the primary (or even secondary) document if you have the PDF Framework license.  Word documents cannot be used as primary or secondary documents.  Any documents that OnBase can print natively (image, text, html) can be used as both primay and secondary documents with Image Statements and PDFs can be used with use of the PDF framework.

So, to answer your question directly, you can use a PDF as the primary and TIFs & eforms as the secondary documents.

I hope that helps!

~Bob

Thanks Bob,

Is PDF Framework an Adobe product. Do you know the how it is licensed and how much the license costs?

Hi Steve,

The PDF framework is a Datalogics product.

For the most current licensing and pricing information, I'd recommend that you reach out to your account manager.
