Blob and external source return as image

Hello,

I am trying to compose a document with an image.
As it can not come from OnBase, I store the image in a db in VARBINARY (max).
When I try to call the image via an external source by returning the result as an image, I get the following error:

Array can't be null. Parameter Bytes.

Cannot insert the openxmlelement "new child" because it is a part of a tree.

If I don't use "return result as an image" the request work (but not as an image of course)

Do I miss something? Any specific things to configure in my db?

Hi Fabien,

I don't have any experience using VARBINARY, is there any reason you don't want to use a BLOB?

And, where are you seeing the error?

Hi Fabien,

To add to Carolyn's question, where is the External Datasource placeholder located on your Template?  Is there any Word styling / formatting on the placeholder?
