Is it possible to create a dashboard in the test environment and export the dashboard setup into a production environment?

Hi Peter,

Yes, I have migrated dashboards and data providers between environments. I'm not sure what version you are on or if that would change the answer, but I think we were able to do so when we started with OnBase 16.

In the Unity client, go to Reporting Dashboards > Administration. Then in the sidebar on the left, under Admin Tools, there are options for Import Configuration and Export Configuration.

One thing I've noticed is that when migrating this way the Created By shows as "INTERNAL USER" rather than my user account, just something to be aware of.

We use the Dashboards Export Configuration feature this all the time to move new reports from Test into Production and it works very nicely. The only issue we have found is that any parameters saved within an associated data provider are not carried across through the export process so we have to go in and manually update afterwards. We are using OB17 and I think that may have been addressed in OB18 which we are in the process of testing.

hi luke, the problem is you have to use a View from the filter and mention the name instead of just joining the tables and indicating the attributes. if you are using a view from a filter you can do it at ease.
