Probably a very simple answer to this question.
Is it possible to configure the web client to default to opening the foldering page after login?

Hello Steve,
Thank you for using the Community Forums!
Yes, you can set this via the Web Application Management Console (WAMCon). All you need to do is launch the WAMCon and choose your Web Server virtual directory. Then from the WAMCon toolbar, choose "View Contexts". Then set the Default Context drop down to Folders:
Then choose "File | Save" to save your changes.
*Note: You will want to make this change during off hours, as this change will cause the web application to restart.
Thank you,

Hi Andy
That's brilliant, thank you. Would I be correct in saying that as that is a global setting affecting everyone using the web client that an additional Web Server license would be required to have two Webservers that behave differently?

Hi Steve,
You could create a second Web Server virtual directory (AppNet) on the same server that didn't have a Default Context set, and users would be given the Document Retrieval interface upon logging in. Since you are only using one physical/virtual machine for your Web Server, a second license would not be necessary. So your users that mainly needed to see Folders could hit the one virtual directory, and the users that didn't need to work with Folders could hit the other virtual directory.
A completely different way to do this is available if you are using 11.0 or later. This option would not involve setting a Default Context or creating two virtual directories. Users that needed to see the Folders interface could simply add the Folders context to their Favorites, and then set Folders as their Home Page. So when those users log in to the Web Client from their workstations, they would automatically be brought into the Folders interface.
Let me know if either of these options work for you.
Thank you,

Can this be done at the user group level in the configuration app or the user have to do it themself?
