Slow Client Launch

When our users go to launch the Thick Client it can take anywhere between 30 seconds and a minute after double clicking the OnBase Client icon before the Logon Status Window appears and client loads. Is this a normal timing or is there something I can check to make the load response time faster?

If you are hosting the Thick Client files on a network share, then quite a bit of data (50+ megabytes) needs to be transferred over the network before the login box will be presented. Total time depends on the speed of the pipe between the workstation and the share. You may want to install these files locally on the PC for slower connections.

I am not sure if this is the same issue that you have or not but we had the slowness issue on a client and it was due to them running a back level verson of the Onbase Client.

Meaning we were on 11.0 on the database and they were trying to run a 9.0 client against it.

I have installed the programs locally on all the PCs.

All the clients and the database are on the same version level.
