Microsoft Security Guide and KBs

On the MS Security Guide pages, it lists KBs at the bottom of the page. Are these just KBs with known issues that Hyland has tested? For instance, we have a KB that needs to be applied but we cannot find it listed in any of the MS Security Guide posts. Is it safe to assume it has been tested and no issues were found?
