How often should I call the barcode processor?

Hey OnBase Community,

     Quick question:  I'm concerned that if our barcode processing takes a long time, calling the barcode processor while its already running may slow down its performance.   Is this true?

A little context:  We've got a scheduled sweep for a barcode process every half an hour, and if there are many documents, the processing may take a lot of time.  If our barcode processing kicks off every 300 seconds, would we be processing too frequently?

I think it really depends on the quantity and size of the files you are processing. You could log onto the process server and watch the batches while running the Onbase service monitor (monitor barcode service) and this may give you an idea of how quickly your files/batches are being processed. Just a thought
