Hard Drive Size - Balancing Storage and Back End Maintenance

When presenting a drive to the file server, what size drives do you use (e.g. 2TB, 4TB, etc.)?

There is discussion here that just because you can have extremely large drives on Windows doesn't mean you should as it has implications on backups and disk utilities.

If you do implement drives exceeding 2TB what backup and maintenance tools do you use?

We have 1- 6 TB drive on our file servers and will soon be adding a second drive of 4 TB to accomodate our projected growth.  The drives are SAN attached to V7000 storage unit and we employ CommVault for backup.[:)]
