We are having discussions about how AD authentication should work in the EPIC integration to OnBase.
I believe the process is 1) The user clicks on the EPIC Link, 2) The link picks up the users OnBase AD groups through LDAP, 3) OnBase provisions the user with rights defined in the security groups.
We created the OnBase User Groups and added the same named groups to Active Directory. At this stage I need confirmation that the next step is to add members to the AD groups.
Is it true that we only need to create the NT logon and assign the AD groups? And OnBase will automatically create a security record for new users? We're confused about whether we have to also add users to OnBase security.
Our EPIC logon is the same as our NT logon to also AD authenticate. Is it true that the EPIC link to OnBase should send the logon? Currently, EPIC is sending the EMP number.
