Dual table vs. Single table performance issues

Is it common to experience delays when querying, filtering, or doing document retreival when the only keyword in your query is dual table?

Can Hyland or your reseller make a database change to update the keyword from dual table to single table?

I wouldn't necessarily call it common, but it's definitely possible.

Yes if you contact your first line of support it is possible to convert keywords from dual to single table. Depending how many rows are in each table, it can be a fairly lengthy process.

Hi Cary,

While the performance of keyword related queries for dual table keywords can be slower than for single table keywords, I would recommend working with your first line of support to determine if that is truly the cause of the delays you are experiencing before looking into converting the keyword to a different table structure. There are a number of other factors, such as outdated or poorly sampled index statistics, that can contribute to poor performance.

Hope that helps.

Ansley
